“If you can’t or won’t respond to Jesus now what makes you think you will respond when doing so will cost you and your wife and children (if you have them) your lives?”
This series consists of summaries and excerpts from the following books and websites: “Charting The End Times, A Visual Guide to Understanding Bible Prophecy” — Tim LaHaye and Thomas Ice, http://www.truthnet.org/dan70.html, “Epicenter,” — Joel Rosenberg, “The Final Act” — Chuck Smith, “Unmasking the Antichrist, dispelling the Myths, Discovering the Truth” — Ron Rhodes, “The MacArthur Study Bible” — John MacArthur.
Hopefully, you will be encouraged to read and study the Bible and maybe one or more of these books. The 7-year period called the Tribulation period is not a time that anyone should want to be alive in. God provides an escape and my prayer is that as you read, study and learn more about this period, you will accept the salvation, grace and escape God is offering you. Or if you have already accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, that your will grow closer in your walk with Him.
I know there are people who feel God’s call on their heart but keep telling themselves they will answer God’s call tomorrow or some day. There are also people who say when and if the rapture happens and they are left behind then they’ll believe in Jesus. As my pastor has said many times, “If you can’t or won’t respond to Jesus now what makes you think you will respond when doing so will cost you and your wife and children (if you have them) your lives?”

4th — The Antichrist makes a 7-year covenant with Israel (Daniel 9:27) — start of 7-year tribulation period
The Bible does not teach the Jews will receive the antichrist as their Messiah. It teaches that they will accept him as a great political leader and diplomat and that they will put their trust in them as the guarantor of peace in the Middle East. (Ron Rhodes)
5th — 3 ½ years into the 7-year period the Antichrist will put an end to sacrifice and offering, set up an image of himself in the temple, stand in the holy place of the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem, declare that he is God and demand to be worshipped. (Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:4)
6th — Many Jews will flee Jerusalem (Matthew 24:16-21; Revelation 12:6)

4th seal (Revelation 6:7-8) — ashen horse judgment — most severe of the four judgments — widespread death on Earth — 1/4 of the remaining population killed with sword, with hunger, with death and by the beasts of the earth
5th seal (Revelation 6:9-11) — cry of the martyrs — martyrs of the Tribulation — 25 Percent of the world’s population — cry out for revenge against the unbelievers who killed them
6th seal (Revelation 6:12-17) — cosmic disturbances — great earthquake, sun becomes black and moon becomes like blood (probably due to volcanic eruptions), stars fall to earth (massive asteroids or meteor showers), sky recedes (earth’s atmosphere dramatically affected), every mountain and island moved out of its place (tectonic plates slip and shift, realigning whole continents). This seal commences what the prophets call “the Day of the Lord.”
2nd — Sealing of the 144,000 — 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of the children of Israel

3rd trumpet (Revelation 8:10-11) — a great star falls from heaven, burning like a torch and fell on 1/3 of the rivers and on springs of water, 1/3 of the waters became wormwood (a type of bitterness, affliction, remorse, punitive suffering. In Amos 6:12 this Hebrew word is rendered “hemlock”) and many die from the bitter water.
4th trumpet (Revelation 8:12-13) — 1/3 of the sun, moon and stars is darkened, 1/3 of the day and 1/3 of the night was darkened. An angel warns the earth about the remaining three trumpet judgments.

7th trumpet Revelation 11:15-19) — This trumpet introduces the seven bowl judgments that follow.
4th — Bowl judgments — Most intense and severe judgments. They involve horribly painful sores on human beings, more bodies of water turning to blood, the death of all sea creatures, people being scorched by the sun, total darkness engulfing the land, a devastating earthquake and much more — Revelation 16
1st bowl judgment (Revelation 16:1-2) — Aimed specifically at those who have the mark of the beast (antichrist). An affliction of grievous, malignant sores upon their bodies.
2nd bowl judgment (Revelation 16:3) — Poured into the sea and every living soul died in the sea
3rd bowl judgment (Revelation 16:4-7) — Poured into the rivers and springs of water so those remaining alive had only blood to drink. God’s answer to the martyrs’ prayer for revenge.
4th bowl judgment (Revelation 16:8-9) — Poured upon the sun, scorched people with fire.
5th bowl judgment (Revelation 16:10-11) –Poured out upon the seat of the beast (antichrist), his kingdom was full of darkness, people gnawed their tongues because of the pain.
6th bowl judgment (Revelation 16:12-15) — Poured out upon the Euphrates river drying it up preparing the way for the kings of the east to come to the mountains of Israel for the battle of Armageddon.
7th bowl judgment (Revelation 16:17-21) — Poured out upon the air causing lightening and thunder to precede the greatest earthquake in the history of the world. Jerusalem is split into three parts. Babylon is destroyed. Islands and mountains disappear. 100-pound hailstones fall from Heaven.

The books that will be opened suggests that accounts of our actions are kept in heaven. Chuck Smith
Books were opened — These books record the good and bad deeds of those about to be judged. This is the record of their “works” prior to death.
And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life
This book is singled out from among the other books because of its paramount importance. Unlike the books which record their works, this book records their faith, or lack thereof.
The books opened in God’s court contain the deeds of men, http://biblehub.com/commentaries/revelation/20-12.htm
Books that record every deed people have done. “The Book of Life” which has the names of all the friends and servants of Jesus. http://www.simplybible.com/f60g.htm
15th — new heaven and new earth
