Noah’s building of the ark in Genesis would have made no difference if he had not entered the ark. Gathering all the animals to the ark without entering the ark would only have made for a mass drowning. You knowing all about Christ will make no difference if you don’t take Christ as your Savior. Building the ark didn’t save Noah. Being proud of the ark didn’t save Noah. The ark saved Noah. But he had to enter it first. Have you entered the ark? Have you come to Christ?
Notes from a sermon by Tim Brown, Pastor, Calvary Chapel, Fremont, CA
You may say, “I’m enjoying church. I’m becoming quite knowledgeable about my Bible and can turn to any passage rather quickly. I’m even beginning to memorize some passages.” That’s good, but that won’t save you. Only Christ can save you.
Judgment was coming and Noah knew that the only safe place was in the ark. He had no chance of surviving the flood without the ark. Just as Noah had no chance of surviving the flood without the ark we have no chance of surviving the judgment of God without Christ.
Let God into your heart and into your life. You don’t need a special time or place. Any time is a good time to accept Jesus as Your Lord and Savior and sooner is better. Just say Billy Graham’s Sinner’s Prayer.
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my hear and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. I Your name. Amen
